It’s too easy to be critical of Microsoft, to point out what’s wrong with Vista and why people still like XP.
For more than a week, I’ve been in a game of email tag with technical staff offshore somewhere (hard to know since they don’t provide a telephone number). And over the smallest of things. My Office 2007 Word — running on my HP with Vista — has gone nutty. Worked fine for a month, then fizzled. PowerPoint and Excel (part of the “home” package) are still going strong.
Here’s how the Microsoft Help Desk provides tech support (in 24-48 hour bites). My email assignment straight from the helpful folks there. Formatting kept intact. Don’t do this to your customers — unless you want them to flee.
